Program Coordinator for Indigenous Farmworker Training Program

Mixteco/Indígena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) is looking to hire a Program Coordinator to establish an Indigenous Farmworker Workforce Training Program. This program is focused on supporting the development of farmworker training and workforce development program[s] and providing advanced skills training needed to advance to a higher-skilled job in the ag sector. The new program will provide labor relations, workplace safety training, and farm equipment certification to advance career pathways for 120 indigenous farmworkers over a two-year period. This position is located in Santa Maria, CA.

Immigration Staff Attorney

Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project is looking to hire an Immigration Staff Attorney. The MICOP Immigration Staff Attorney will work with the MICOP Immigration Legal Assistance Program. The MICOP Immigration Staff Attorney is responsible for representing clients in affirmative types of immigration legal status before the USCIS, and for Removal Defense, including Unaccompanied Minors, Asylum and bond representation. The position is open until filled. This position is open to applicants in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
