MILA offers free to very low-cost immigration legal advice and representation for citizenship, legal permanent residency, DACA, U Visa, VAWA, asylum, family petitions, and adjustments of status. MILA also participated in community immigration fairs in collaboration with other community organizations. MILA clinics are held multilingually in Mixteco, Spanish & English.
Our MILA program hosts resource events for the community for DACA Renewal and Citizenship applications, fees paid free of charge!
Outreach and Education (KYR)
Through funding from the California Department of Social Services, MICOP has two Immigration outreach and education specialists working to provide community members resources and tools during their immigration process. Our team provides information on citizenship, legal permanent residency, DACA, U Visa, VAWA, asylum, family petitions, and adjustments of status in English, Spanish, and Mixteco in Ventura County and Santa Barbara County. MICOP also provides Know Your Rights (KYR) presentations to community members about their rights when being stopped by immigration officials.
