Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and passion for HR will be essential in helping us maintain an efficient and employee-friendly workplace environment.

The person in this position to assist families involved with Children Welfare Services (CWS) with culturally and linguistically appropriate services. This includes communicating with clients in their indigenous language and incorporating indigenous perspectives as they navigate the Child Welfare System. The Child Welfare Navigator will ensure clients understand the services available throughout the CWS system, eliminate barriers to entry, ensure they are able to make and receive appointments, provide interpretation and cultural context, assist in service navigation, and coach and mentor clients.

Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) esta en busqueda de un Navegador/a/x de Salud para el programa Conectándonos.

Los/as Navegadores/as de Salud Mental llevarán a cabo concientización sobre la salud mental y trabajan con familias inmigrantes indígenas cuya salud mental está a riesgo. Evaluarán sus necesidades y vincularan a los clientes del programa con servicios y apoyo apropiados. El trabajo directo con familias elegibles incluirá abordar la salud inmediata y necesidades básicas que aumentan los factores de riesgo para la salud mental. Proporcionarán vínculos, referencias y trabajarán para garantizar que se cumplan las citas y se cumplan los objetivos del manejo del caso con los proveedores de servicios a los que están vinculados. Los componentes de educación incorporan psicoeducación en torno al bienestar mental, trastorno por abuso de sustancias, depresión y ansiedad, entre otros. Este enfoque es esencial para apoyar la autoconciencia sobre estas condiciones para empoderar mejor a los migrantes indígenas para que reconozcan y respondan a ellos.

Program Coordinator - Interpretation and Language Services

The person in this position will work closely with MICOP’s Executive Director and second program coordinator to oversee MICOP’s Indigenous Language Interpreter program, deploying interpreters to local, regional, and national agencies for on-site or telephonic interpretation, coordinating ongoing interpreter training for staff, provide interpretation services, facilitate Interpreters’ Language Network, provide cultural and linguistic competency training to contractors about MICOP’s Indigenous Language Interpreter Program and protocols.
