MILA
MILA offers free to very low-cost immigration legal advice and representation for citizenship, legal permanent residency, DACA, U Visa, VAWA, family petitions, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), and status adjustments. MILA also participates in community immigration fairs in collaboration with other community organizations. MILA immigration legal assistance is held multilingually in Mixteco, Spanish, and English.
Outreach and Education (KYR)
Through funding from the California Department of Social Services, MICOP provides community members with resources and tools about immigration topics. Our team provides information on citizenship, legal permanent residency, DACA, U Visa, VAWA, family petitions, SIJIS, and status adjustments in English, Spanish, and Mixteco in Ventura County and Santa Barbara County.MICOP also provides Know Your Rights (KYR) presentations to community members about their legal rights if they encounter ICE.
