Out of an abundance of caution, 805Undocufund, 805ImmigrantCoalition & MICOP stand in solidarity with the statement made by @ufwupdates

We urge community members to take precautions regarding working in the cannabis industry due to the degree of federal threats to our farmworking communities. Last week, 300+ families were separated at the raids in Glass House Farms. MICOP has been in contact with community who were forced to sign their deportation order, with families yet to find their loved ones. We advise the community to be extremely cautious.

From MICOP’s Radio Indígena Facebook Live: We h From MICOP’s Radio Indígena Facebook Live: We have some team members still on site waiting for ICE to leave to provide transportation to community members trapped. This has been going on for at least 12 hours. This is the moment ICE agents shot teargas at unarmed community members as they prepared to leave the area. Today has been incredibly difficult. To those who say we don’t belong, we say this: We are not going anywhere. These are Native lands. These are stolen lands. Every time you attempt to erase us, we will reappear-stronger, louder, and more united. Indigenous existence is resistance.

These are images and videos from MICOP’s Radio I These are images and videos from MICOP’s Radio Indígena Live and also sent from team members currently on-the-ground. This is happening in between OXNARD & CAMARILLO. All day we have been receiving phone calls of farm workers trapped with nowhere to go, surrounded. They haven’t eaten and are scared. Our staff families are directly affected. This is the reality we have been facing and it has only gotten worse. No one is illegal on stolen ground. We stand by our statement released last month.

Our existence is resistance, The immigration actions and raids are not random acts of law enforcement, they are state sanctioned terror.

To our community: You are not alone. Your fear is real-but so is your strength. Thank you to everyone who has donated. We appreciate you deeply!
