Save the Date: Night in Oaxaca celebrates “Nuestras Estrellas”
Please be sure to “Save the Date” for this year’s Night in Oaxaca, as we celebrate “nuestras estrellas”, our stars on August 5th, 2017 from 6PM-9PM at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center!
Celebrate and support Ventura County’s indigenous immigrant community at a fabulous evening of traditional food, dancing and music. Our evening will begin with a social hour featuring Oaxacan appetizers, a Oaxacan craft market, and traditional indigenous dances. Dinner will be MICOP’s signature chicken mole!
Our program this year will highlight “nuestras estrellas” (our stars), and will feature indigenous leaders, a key note by Oxnard Mayor Pro Tem Carmen Ramirez and will culminate in the awarding of our annual scholarships for indigenous students pursuing college education. We will finish the night with the Dance of the Diablitos!
Tickets are available for purchase at $60 for individuals and $100 for couples. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here or by filling out the registration form.
