Report to:
Program Manager

Position Summary: Case Manager will support indigenous families from Oaxaca and Guerrero with children aged 0-5 years old, with assistance aimed at improving their quality life and promoting early education. The Case Manager will be working with families of school age students by providing interpretation at the elementary schools sites as well as working with parents who have school age children. The Case Manger will also work with youth from the local middle school to promote their indigenous language and identity.

Location: Rio NFL/other locations as assigned
Ensure welcoming environment for indigenous parents
Case management and referrals to resources
Coordinate weekly schedules to deliver services
Help indigenous families to acces health, Education and early development services
Provide families with interpretation in Mixteco/Spanish/English when needed.
Ensure we achieve our annual goal number ofcases and referrals.
Prepare accurate and timely reports for cases and referrals.
Be able to prepare and report Cases in CST meeting
Facilitate workshops in their centers
Actively participatein MICOP and NFL community meetings
Flexible schedule
Be able to organize and hold Tequio Youth Group meeting
Create and present presentations
Create Tequio agenda
Develop and create engaging activities for the club
Demonstrate and teach leadership skills
Organize and Develop Teaching Techniques
Use engaging and fun techniques to teach the Kids about Mixteco culture
Be able to tutor kids in various school subjects
Be able to communicate in Mixteco, Spanish and English
Be able to conduct conferences with students in order to assess and review their academic situation
Aid Mixteco parents and help them navigate the school system
Be able to interpret conferences between parents and teachers
Be able to adapt to various variations of Mixteco
Coordinate service for students and parents
Be able to analyze complex situations from multiple point of views such as, student, parent and teacher
Be able to understand kid’s behavior and their causes
Understand and communicate parents’ needs to the school
Be able to communicate with teachers, principals and counselors concerns to parents and students
Ability to see needs and initiate solutions
Offer cultural information and support to school faculty.
