Actualización de DRAI – DRAI Update

***Actualización de MICOP/ Update from MICOP***

MICOP

Dear Community of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties,

The Mixteco/Indígena Project Community Organization is an organization that has been serving the community for over 20 years and is the only state-authorized organization to help with the Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants (DRAI) in these two counties: Ventura and Santa Barbara.

We know it is difficult, but we ask our community to be patient and to continue to call our lines.

Today our phone lines are working. There are thousands of calls that are arriving per minute. The lines are saturated. We cannot help everyone at the same time. We will be working from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. If the hours change, we will let you know.

We cannot return calls or the messages on the voicemail. People are being helped as calls come in (first come in, first served). Due to the rules of the program, we are only taking applicants via telephone, and cannot accept applications via email or via website.

It is important to note that there is no charge to applicants for filling out an application, and if you are being charged, it is likely fraud and NOT a caseworker from MICOP.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but we ask that you remain patient and continue trying.

With respect,
MICOP
